The miracle happens with Christ in our boat!

Before the calling of the first disciples, we heard in the gospel about Peter’s empty nets. In Peter’s empty nets, I recognize my own tired days - when I have given all I can, yet my heart still feels heavy. And there, in Peter’s weariness, Christ enters the boat, invites him into the deep again and the miracle happens!

“Lord, I am tired too. Renew my hope … help me take the next step.”

  My dear friends, come home to our blessed church. Come with your burdens and your hopes. We all need our sacred home, where prayer, Holy Communion, and the love we share restore our weary hearts and give us courage for tomorrow!

   We still have waters to cross. Let us cross them together …
